In this ‘DADGAD Essentials’ video I show you all the D modal chords on the guitar neck.

This is a great way to keep things fresh especially if you’re playing Irish traditional music where a solid drone sound is needed while accompanying a melody player.

(Tip: practice the modal chord shapes with a capo on various frets)

Once we have those nice modal chords covered they actually forms the basis for our full major and minor chord shapes, which we will cover next.
